What is a Podcast?

A podcast is an MP3 audio recording that you download from the Internet and listen to at any time on your computer or MP3 player. Podcasting is more exciting than radio because you can choose where, when, and what you want to hear.

Do I need an IPOD or Other MP3 to Listen?

No. The word podcast comes from Ipod and broadcast. You do not however, need an Ipod or any kind of MP3 player to listen to the audio program. All that is required is a computer and the Internet. Broadband is preferred because dial-up connections often take longer to download depending on the audio files' size.
